"oh, you should never, never doubt what nobody is sure about"

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is probably my all-time favorite movie.

That's why I was deeply concerned when I first started hearing rumor of a remake. Especially when those rumors involved Nicolas Cage.

I perked up when Tim Burton was tied to the project. Even though his work has been uneven over the past several years, I still appreciate his dark, surrealities (is that a word?).

And then there's my deep, dark, secret (and somewhat embarrassing) crush on Johnny Depp that has laid mostly dormant since I was thirteen and fell for Edward Scissorhands. So when he was announced as Wonka, I was cautiously interested.

I have to admit, the poster (which surfaced several weeks back) made me nervous.

But that was all alleviated today with the trailer.

It's awesome.

I'm totally giddy with excitement.
