bumper stumpers

There are a lot of vanity plates in Rhode Island. It being a small state, I'm sure part their popularity is driven by the ease with which one can get the plate one wants. You'd think that along with that, however, would come a prety good screening system for questionable content. Apparently not.

I am missing something or is GIZPUP inappropriate?

Rhode Island registration GIZPUP is on a white two-door Civic with a spoiler. We spotted it on Route 1 in South Kingstown last weekend. It's driven by a blond woman in her mid-to-late 30s.

How on earth did she get this approved by the DMV?

Oh, wait, I have an idea.
